NBC Keeping Brian Williams Following ‘Nightly News’ Iraq War Lie Scandal?
It's being reported that NBC is trying to keep Brian Williams following that whole Iraq war lie that went down some time back. After the scandal broke, in which Williams allegedly fabricated a story about being under fire in a helicopter during the Iraq war, the famed journalist was stripped of his role as the anchor and Managing Editor of NBC Nightly News. But now, it looks like the network is trying to keep him ... just maybe in a different role.
CNN Money is reporting that new findings state that NBC executives are trying to place Williams somewhere else within the network. The publication notes that there have been "weeks of complex negotiations" but things are still not complete. Because of this, there is also the possibility that Williams could end up leaving NBC altogether. But it seems that NBC News chairman, Andy Lack, is trying very hard to keep Williams onboard with the peacock.
