Comedian Jerry Seinfeld can take a joke. If you don't believe us, we'd like to bring you back to the finale of The Late Show with David Letterman where Seinfeld found himself the victim of a Top 10 joke delivered by Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The joke mocked the Seinfeld finale written by Larry David. With the topic being Things I've Always Wanted To Say To David Letterman, the joke went as such:

"Thanks for letting me take part in another hugely disappointing series finale..."

Seinfeld, of course, took the joke with a laugh. And recently, he talked about the Top 10 joke with Vulture.com, stating, "If it's a good joke I'm into it."

On that particular joke, the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee host admits that they fought hard for it, noting that Dreyfus flew all the way from Los Angeles to New York to say one line, so it better be good. And after long talks, the Letterman writers came up with the gem, which left Seinfeld wondering: Did they have that, or did they write that?

"Maybe they didn't want to hurt my feelings. That's what it may have been: that they had the joke and they didn't want to hurt my feelings and then, of course, they don't know I don't have feelings."

There ya have it, folks. Jerry Seinfeld has no feelings. So, um, that's good.

Take a look at the final Top 10, with the Seinfeld joke, below:

Seinfeld's sixth season of his successful web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee kicks off this coming June 3 at 11:30 p.m.—exactly when Letterman would have been on. His first guest? Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
