Dave Matthews Pulls Over Fan with “Fire Dancer” Bumper Sticker in Search of Alcohol
Dave Matthews has been known to pound back a drink or two. In fact, if you've seen his Storytellers episode from years ago you know he's got a few tales to back it up. And today, at the age of 48, it looks like the DMB frontman is still enjoying a cold one, as he recently pulled over a fan in Atlanta while the two were in traffic just to ask where there was a decent nearby bar. How he knew the driver was a fan was pretty simple: they had one of those Dave Matthews Band "Fire Dancer" stickers on the back of their cars. You know, this one:
TMZ is reporting on Matthews' recent traffic stop, noting that the "Fire Dancer" acted as a bat signal of sorts for the musician.
As the two were stuck in traffic, the fan heard a tap on her window, which turned out to be Matthews, as she reportedly screamed, "Holy sh*t!! Dave Matthews' face is in my car window!" And naturally, she asked Matthews for a picture and then pointed him over to Article 14, a seemingly swanky bar in Atlanta. Take a look at the photo of the two below (via TMZ's Twitter):
