Caitlyn Jenner Won’t Adhere to Bruce’s Handicap According to U.S. Golf Association
Caitlyn Jenner has a new lease on life now that she has left behind her identity as Bruce Jenner. Every aspect of her life has gone under a transformation both mentally and physically. One thing that also won't be the same is Jenner's golf handicap. According to the U.S. Golf Association, Caitlyn won't be able to use Bruce's handicap. A whole new persona now means a whole new handicap.
As Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner was a fantastic golfer. Her average golfing score then was slightly above par, so if par was a 72, she would average around 77. Jenner's handicap of 5.3 was a prestigious one and now she'll have to begin all over again. It'll be interesting to see where her score will be at now and if it changes any.
According to Golf Week, Jenner will have an uphill battle to keep the privelages she had as a male at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousands Oaks, California. That was the celebrity club Jenner was a part of for 15 years. The club, with an initiation cost of $225,000, segregates men and women in certain areas.
For instance, there are male-only and female-only dining rooms. There's also a restaurant for women but it's smaller. Sherwood will remain closed until December so it'll be interesting to see if they'll be accommodating Jenner. A source close to Jenner told Hollywood Life that Sherwood's board is open for an appeal. We'll know by December whether Jenner will be stuck adhering to the rules of the club.
Do you think the club will accommodate Jenner and is it fair or unfair if they don't? Let us know in the comments section.
