Rick Ross Threatened: Rapper Not Afraid of Gangster Disciples, The 'Boss' Claims He Tried to Choke Young Jeezy at BET Awards [VIDEO]

Following a recent video posted by Chicago's Gangster Disciples - where members of the infamous street gang warn musician Rick Ross to cut a check for GD found Larry Hoover pronto, or else - the "God Forgives I Don't" rapper ended up canceling the remaining dates on a U.S. tour with his Maybach Music Group. Although reps for Ross insist the upcoming concerts were cancelled due to "apparent lack of organization and communication on the part of the tour promoter," many reports allege that the popular MC was forced to terminate the tour because of the recent gang death threats. Even so, it appears that the "You the Boss" rapper isn't afraid of the gang members and their threatening talk - during a recent radio interview, not only did Ross touch on the subject of the GDs and how their threats don't mean a thing, he also talks about a recent run-in with fellow rapper Young Jeezy at the BET Awards. Things got heated, and Ross even attempted to choke the young MC before security guards got involved. Apparently Ross isn't one to mess with!

Check out the video posted by members of GD based in Chicago, where they demand Ross to "cut a check" (FYI, this isn't the first Gangster Disciples group to threaten Ross... videos have also been posted by gang associates in Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and other states as well). Reports confirm that Chicago police are currently heading an investigation which will look into the shady YouTube video post.

Apparently the rapper "disrespected" GD's founder by shouting out Hoover's name on his track "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)" and using their gang symbols on the cover of his "Black Bar Mitzvah" mixtape. 

While Ross insists he's not afraid of the Gangster Disciples, the police are taking the viral video pretty seriously - an investigation is currently underway to determine if the "threats" made in the short video are indeed legitimate. But Ross still swears that the remaining dates on the final leg of his U.S. tour were not cancelled because of the GD video - the rapper recently told the Miami radio station WEDR, "Ricky Ross is a boss. You can't cancel a Ricky Ross show without Ricky Ross's permission."

Ross continues with: "I canceled the rest of the tour due to the promoter, he wasn't really handlin' his business. Once they began to unravel, I shut it down. Never was it due to any threats. Any dude can stand in a crowd with 30 or 40 dudes and everybody real, everybody trill, everybody 'bout that life, everybody gangsta. But when the choppers come out, everybody fold."

The canceled tour kicked off with two cancellations in North Carolina, followed by the final shows cancelled for Sunday (Dec. 9) in Nashville, Wednesday (Dec. 12) in Memphis, Thursday (Dec. 13) in Houston, Saturday (Dec. 15) in Detroit, and finally Sunday (Dec. 16) in New York.

Live Nation has yet to comment about the "lack of organization on the part of the tour promoter" allegation.

Ross recently told AllHipHop.com:

"I want to apologize to all of my fans who I missed performing for due to the cancellations and want to let them know that I will get back to their cities. I enjoyed my experience with my little bros Wale and Meek Mill, and I'm ready to get back in the studio to make good music."

Meanwhile, it looks like Ross' feud with Young Jeezy has turned violent. Apparently Ross truly is a "boss" - 

"This is nothing personal to me," Ross said. "At the BET Awards it basically just boiled down to me running across Young Jeezy, he had five security guards in front of him, five police officers behind him and we crossed paths I said 'what's up?' soon as he said 'what's up?' I tried to choke him. His security guards hemmed me up; whoever the big black dude with the bumps on his face, he should give that dude something special for Christmas."
