Unseen '19 Kids & Counting' Footage Never to Air if Cancelled by Josh Duggar Molestation Scandal?
While TLC is yet to determine what they are going to do with their highly popular show 19 Kids and Counting following Josh Duggar's molestation reports being made public, it seems that a lot of footage is going to be left on the cutting room floor. The kids of the series, including Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar have been going through a lot of changes in their lives, which fans have anxiously been waiting to see play out on their TV screens. However, now that the show is in limbo following the sex scandal that erupted, viewers might be missing out on some huge Duggar milestones.
According to Radar Online, the family is gearing up for a pretty hefty amount of PR in hopes of saving their show from cancellation, but should it not work, viewers will be missing out on pregnancies, courtships, and births.
It seems like most of the footage that was documented followed Jill and her husband Derick Dillard, as they prepared for baby Dillard.
The couple had gone through some pretty big events including all the doctor's appointments leading up to the birth, as well as all Jill's medical issues after, which were all documented by the film crew for the show.
"Not only did Jill have a lot of health issues after the birth, but Derick had teeth pulled, surgery and braces all documented by camera crews," an insider explained to the news site.
However, there could still be a silver lining in all this, as TLC has been thinking of possibly picking up a spinoff series centered around Jill and Jessa, should the cancellation actually happen.
According to Us Weekly, the producers aren't looking to throw away the footage they already recorded.
"They've invested a lot of time in developing these story lines and the last thing they want to do is to throw it all away," an insider explained.
