USA's 'Mr. Robot': Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Rami Malek's New Promo Before Premiere!

USA Network has released an all-new promo of their upcoming hacker drama, Mr. Robot. Ahead of the show's June premiere, along with the Season 5 premiere of Suits, check out the behind-the-scenes featurette starring Christian Slater (Pump Up The Volume), Portia Doubleday (Mr. Sunshine) and Rami Malek (The Pacific).

As we previously mentioned, Mr. Robot centers on a young and isolated programmer named Elliot (Malek). Suffering from an anti-social disorder, Elliot can only connect to people by actually hacking them. Elliot is then recruited to join an underground hacker organization determined to bring down corporate America by a mysterious anarchist named Mr. Robot (Slater).

According to Zap2it, the behind-the-scenes video features Doubleday breaking down her character. The Carrie actress describes Angela's relationship with Elliot's. The twosome share similarities, even though they are polar opposites of each other. Their friendship will be tested when Elliot's ulterior motives are put in the spotlight.

The site states, "Angela and Elliot are childhood friends that now work at a corporate cyber security firm. Angela is ambitious and determined to get ahead, unaware that her best friend is secretly trying to destroy everything she stands for with his underground hacker ring."

The Youth in Revolt actress adds, "Angela is this hopeful, kind of innocent, overachiever, who believes if she does the right thing, she will be able to get ahead."

As we mentioned before, the pilot for Mr. Robot has been released nearly a full month ahead of its official June 24 debut. Check out how Angela plays the moral center in USA's upcoming hacker thriller.

Mr. Robot will premiere Wednesday, June 24 at 10pm on USA. The fifth season premiere of Suits will air beforehand that very same night at 9pm.
