'The Strain' Season 2: Guillermo Del Toro, Corey Stoll, Mía Maestro Hit 2015 San Diego Comic Con!
FX has something big planned before the July premiere date for Season 2 of The Strain. Based on Guillermo Del Toro's bestselling novels, published by Dark Horse Comics, showrunner Carlton Cuse (Lost) joins Corey Stoll (Ephraim Goodweather) and Mia Maestro (Nora Martinez) at 2015 San Diego Comic Con.
The first season followed Ephraim Goodweather (Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Maestro) as they discovered a deadly vampire plague spreading across New York City. During their search for a cure, an old and retired vampire hunter, Abraham Setrakian, (David Bradley) and a rat exterminator, Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand), join the crusade to defeat the ancient evil. They must all work together to save the world from The Master and his minions, including Thomas Eichorst (Richard Sammel).
As we previously mentioned, Eph and his team continue their investigation with the mysterious viral outbreak. The further they dig into the virus, the more they discover the hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph and his team find themselves amongst an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, who are waging a war for the survival of humanity.
