Stevie Wonder Does a Charlie Sheen, Donates $100,000 To Help Girl Fight Cancer
In the aftermath of Charlie Sheen donating $75,000 to help a 10-year-old girl battling cancer, legendary singer Stevie Wonder has made a bigger donation than Sheen. Wonder donated $100,000 to Jasmine Faulk, asking her up on stage when he was performing at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Dec. 15, TMZ reported.
Faulk, is the daughter of a Hermosa Beach police officer, who is suffering from childhood rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the muscle tissue. The girl was diagnosed with the cancer in September. Wonder asked the father and daughter to come up on the stage during his show. He even serenaded Faulk with his classic track "Isn't She Lovely" and gave the massive $100,000 check.
The young girl grabbed mic and said, "I love you Stevie" and gave him a big hug. Faulk's father had worked privately for Stevie.
Sheen who came to know of the girl's condition through his stunt double Eddie Braun. While Sheen donated $75,000, Braun donated $25,000 for the girl to fight her cancer.
Wonder is a legend and has won 22 Grammy Awards and has recorded songs that went on to become U.S. top ten hits. He has also Academy awards for Best Song for the movie "The Woman in Red."
