5 Foods to Stop Eating for Younger Skin
We all want that young-looking skin, something that keeps us appearing both vibrant and ready for the world. Unfortunately, a poor diet can truly make us look older and more run down. Which, of course, none of us want. Therefore, let's take at the top five foods you must stop eating if you want that younger skin.
CANDY
Sugar, people. It's bad for you! Health.com claims that too much candy can damage your "skin's collagen" and make you look older.
BOOZE
Oh, alcohol. We do love you, Sadly, you're just, well, not good for us. Health.com notes that alcohol causes toxins to enter the liver, and therefore, they aren't broken down in the correct ways. With that, a number of skin issues can arise, such as acne and wrinkles.
COFFEE
Coffee is acidic, which can create "microscopic pores on the surface of the enamel," which in turn causes erosion. Having said that, it's also delicious. So, um, use a straw or something.
RED MEAT
As good as red meat is every now and then, too much of it can actually harm you in the long run. Therefore, try throwing in some chicken and turkey burgers. You know, every once in a while––because we can't stop chowing down on those juicy bacon cheeseburgers.
ANYTHING SPICY
Are you a spice lover? Well, that's great, but reports note that spicy foods dilate your blood vessels, which allows for skin to "look blotchy" and therefore, older.
