Waldorf Astoria Shooting: Wedding Disrupted by Gunfire, Man Injures 5
It's being reported that a wedding at the famed New York City hotel, the Waldorf Astoria, was disrupted when a man "discharged a firearm" and hurt five people, according to the New York Times.
The incident happened Saturday, June 13, just before 7:30 p.m. Four out of the five people injured were rushed to the hospital, but luckily, no one was severely hurt. One woman, however, was hit in the head by a bullet. Naturally, she was one of the victims sent to the hospital.
New York Deputy Chief William Aubrey reportedly noted that a "wedding guest accidentally discharged a firearm in the lobby area of the Waldorf Astoria around 7:30 p.m." The bullet hit the floor, bounced off and hit one person. The rest were only injured by debris.
Chief Aubrey told reporters that three people are currently being questioned.
