Dale Earnhardt Jr. Finally Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend Amy Reimann in Germany [PICS]
It looks like NASCAR's bachelor Dale Earnhardt Jr. is finally off of the market! MStars News has learned that the racer finally popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Amy Reimann during a vacation in Germany this week.
According to USA Today, Earnhardt Jr. got down on one knee while on a trip to research his genealogy. Soon-to-be bride Reimann posted the engagement news via Twitter inside of a church, showing off her new diamond ring.
"I'm completely overwhelmed with love & joy," Reimann wrote. "Happiest girl in the world! I love you so much @DaleJr."
The NASCAR driver retweeted the photo and wrote: "Looking forward to the rest of my life with this amazing girl."
After the proposal Amy added another photo and tweeted: "Oh just strolling along with my fiance."
Other stops on their trip in Germany included a look into the 300-year-old book from Ilbesheim Lutheran Church that holds "birth/baptism/marriage/death records of direct descendants."
Beer and yummy sweets!
The 40-year-old Hendrick Motorsports driver started dating Amy back in 2009, and is finally making her a Mrs. after a long time of dating.
"The people we interact with on Twitter are, 'When are you going to do it? Pop the question already,'" Earnhardt revealed in a interview earlier this year. "She gets it more than I do: People telling her all the time I need to put a ring on it. When I turned 40, it really ramped up. People are like, 'Man, your time is running out. Amy is a good girl, what are you waiting for?'"
