Recording artist and rapper, Drake has asked the judge to dismiss the case, Dec. 23. The lawsuit was filed by the investors of nightclub, Entertainment Enterprises for $16 million after the brawl between him and Hip Hop singer, Chris Brown, June 14.

Drake insists that just because he was present at the party does not mean they have to blame him for the W.i.P. nightclub in New York City receiving bad publicity from the press, TMZ reported. The Canadian also claims quoting New York Times that the club has "a history of violence and other problems." He also mentions about the 2011 incident in the club when it was almost shut down by the New York Police Department because of "string of violent incidents." The nightclub's liquor license was suspended to similar incidents earlier.

Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., has a financial stake in the NYC nightclub had sued both Drake and Brown, Aug. 15, claiming that both of them "shared a grudge against the other arising out of their romantic relationships with the same woman." They were both clubbed together and named defendants for the $16 million lawsuit. The woman mentioned is of course singer Rihanna.

The suit claims "Each arrived with his own small army of bodyguards, 'security' personnel, employees, friends and other members of their entourage consisting of at least 15 heavily built men trained and/or experienced in hand-to-hand and weapons combat." Both the stars soon crossed swords and "began to fight violently with each other," the lawsuit claims as obtained by the New York Post.

The suit continues says both the groups "fashioned deadly weapons out of whatever materials they could find, including glasses, alcohol bottles and furniture."

The brawl gave Brown a nasty gash on his chin that he had put up on his Twitter with the message, "How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!" The Tweet was subsequently removed from his page, TMZ reported.
