Russell Simmons Meditation App: Be More Mindful, Improve Your Mental Health
If you're looking to get into meditation, perhaps it's best to ask entrepreneur Russell Simmons. Why? Well, because he has a new app out entitled Meditation Made Simple. The app is set to go hand-in-hand with the book he wrote just last year, Success Through Stillness: Meditation Made Simple. And if you're a fan of Simmons, you're well aware of the fact that he's been practicing yoga for quite some time so perhaps him putting out a meditation app to help us all be more mindful and improve our mental health isn't so surprising.
Per a report from The Huffington Post, Simmons' launch is for the iOS system, and with that, it's also FREE.
"So many people have bumped into me on the street," Simmons told HuffPost, "and told me that meditation has changed their life – it helped them lose weight, it helped them get rid of anger issues, it helped them to do better in school."
He further notes in the interview that his book appears to have the same result on those who read it, which of course, he seems rather grateful for.
The app holds a description of all the benefits that can come from meditating, on top of an actual guide on how to do it. Afterwards, users will find a number of guided meditation exercises that last anywhere from 10-20 minutes.
