Jason Statham, 'Furious 8' Deckard Shaw Return: More 'Fast' Movies for 'Spy' Star?

Jason Statham's character in Furious 7, Deckard Shaw was truly a villain that topped the list of all the baddies featured in the Fast and Furious movies, so why not get him back for the next chapter? Well, according to the Spy star, we'll get to see him reunite with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Vin Diesel and the rest of the franchise's cast members in Fast and Furious 8, which is set in New York City, filming soon! The newest chapter of the popular franchise has been on all of our minds after the tremendous success of this year's Furious 7, which has grossed more than $1.5 billion worldwide, according to IGN's report from earlier this year. Plus, Forbes states that the film is close to passing The Avengers in becoming the third biggest grossing movie.

It's clear that moviegoers want another film from the franchise. Luckily for us, another huge star has confirmed his return to the series.

"We're already talking about doing another one. Part eight," Statham told Access Hollywood this week (via IGN / Just Jared). "I'm a newcomer. I just got invited to the party in this last one, so it's nice to know I'm going to be doing another."

Vin Diesel has stated in the past that Furious 8, or whatever the title ends up being, is set to film in New York City, and new casting rumors speculate that Eva Mendes could return to the franchise in this new chapter!
