Fox's 'Wayward Pines' Spoilers: Will Matt Dillon, Carla Gugino Learn Ben Burke's "Choices?"
The mystery/suspense drama,Wayward Pines, from The Sixth Sense director, M. Night Shyamalan continues on Fox. In Episode 6, will agent Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon) and Kate Hewson (Carla Gugino) discover what Ben Burke (Charlie Tahan)'s "Choices" he now has to make?
As we previously mentioned, Secret Service agent Ethan Burke (Dillon) was in the middle of an investigation when his car was suddenly hit by a truck. Outside of Wayward Pines, Ethan's wife Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) is wondering why her husband has gone missing. Waking up, Ethan finds himself trapped in a strange town where anyone could either be an ally or enemy.
We also mentioned, the fifth episode revealed Ethan and his family Ben, are living with the last remainders of humanity in the year, 4028. Somehow thy all have ended up 2,000 years into the apocalyptic future. The fence is is meat protecting Wayward Pines from Aberrations, the Abbies, who happen to be mutated, violent descendants of humans.
In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Chad Hodge discusses Ben's new role, "I'll let you wait and see what Ben does with it. What I can tell you is that hopefully it was somewhat clear that Ben was coming from a life in Seattle where maybe he wasn't the happiest. He was a little grumpy and maybe didn't have so many friends. He didn't have a girlfriend. And here he's not only been welcomed into this group but sort of like put up on the stage and told, "You're important and you matter and we trust you."

Hodge teases if the Wayward Pines is itself good or evil, "Lot of the latter half of the season is about, "Is Wayward Pines a good thing, a bad thing? Is it as simple as good and evil, or not?" If we've done our jobs, you'll constantly be changing your mind about that.:
