Dustin "Screech" Diamond Sentenced to 4 Months in Jail for Stabbing
MStars News has learned that former Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond, also known as "Screech," was sentenced to 4 months in jail for the stabbing incident that happened back in December 2014.
According to ABC, Wisconsin Judge, Paul Malloy ordered Diamond to report to jail this coming Sunday, June 28 after he was found guilty of two misdemeanors for carrying a concealed weapon and for disorderly conduct back in May during a three-day trial.
Rolling Stone pointed out that Diamond also received 15 months of probation.
Diamond was found not guilty of reckless endangerment, which would've been a felony.
Back in May, Diamond's lawyer stated, "We're happy with the results, we think that justice has been done. The jury did a good job."
The Saved by the Bell star allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old male on Christmas Day in a Milwaukee bar, where he was arrested the next morning.
At trial, Diamond claimed that his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz was involved in a fight with a small group during the time of the incident and revealed that he was trying to protect her. Schutz was found guilty of disorderly conduct for her involvement in the dispute.
Diamond also revealed that he had a pocket knife and claims that he only pulled it to show people at the bar to scare them away.
"I was fearing for her safety and her life," Diamond previously testified.
The 25-year-old victim claimed that he never saw the knife and couldn't tell if it was Diamond who had stabbed him. In the police report, it revealed that the victim didn't know he was stabbed until later on, after the fight.
But if you think Dustin Diamond is the only member of the Saved by the Bell crew to have some issues with the law, think again.
Just a few weeks ago, MStars News learned that Lark Voorhies (a.k.a. Lisa Turtle)'s new husband has a troubled past. We found out he has an arrest warrant in Tucson, Arizona, for being disorderly and threatening someone in 2012, court documents stated.
We also learned that Lark's mother, Ms. Patricia won a temporary restraining order against her son-in-law and is due back in court, Monday, June 29.
