'RHOC' Gretchen Rossi, Slade Smiley Wedding Disaster - No Guests Show, Call it Off

Viewers might have seen Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley get engaged during season 8 of the Real Housewives of Orange County, but since the starlet has been removed from the cast the couple has been laying low. It was reported that they were supposed to get hitched last month, but it turns out that neither one of the Bravo celebrities went through with the nuptials. So why did they fail to make it down the aisle?

According to Radar Online, it seems that their May 23 wedding date was too close to the Memorial Day holiday weekend meaning that many of their guests couldn't make it to the ceremony. For that reason, the two decided to put the plans to wed on the back burner.

"We had our wedding on May 23, but we didn't show up!" the RHOC starlet admitted.

In an interview with Ok magazine, Rossi explains that it was the lack of attendance from their family members that forced them to call the big day off.

"Unfortunately, fairly quickly, we found out that a lot of family members already planned trips for Memorial Day weekend so we were unable to have it [then]," the star explained.

While this fan favorite couple hasn't tied-the-knot yet, it doesn't seem like they have any plans to reschedule anytime soon.

"At this point, Slade and I haven't rescheduled the date," the 36-year-old former housewife told the site, adding that both of them are so busy at the moment with their careers. "It's just not the first thing on our schedule right now, but we'll eventually get married!"
