P!nk Sued By Ex-Producers For $36, 213.31, They Claim She Has Not Paid Her Past Royalties
Singer P!nk whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore was sued by her former producers who claim she has cheated them off $36, 213.31 in royalties, TMZ reported.
The suit was filed in New York City, December 2012 by Specialists Entertainment claiming that the "Most Girls" singer had signed a deal with them and with Thunderstone Productions for the production of her debut album in 1999.
"According to the suit, the two companies agreed to split producers' royalties 50-50 ... before cranking out 2 songs, "'Can't Take Me Home' and 'Hiccup' for P!nk," TMZ reported.
The document says that the album was a hit selling about five million copies launching P!nk's career. But Specialists Entertainment alleges that the royalties for them was never paid.
She has to pay them $36, 213.31 for which she has been sued.
But P!nk need not worry as it is not her problem as revealed by her representative who said, "Sony are responsible for paying the producers."
Pink has produced six albums to date, her sixth one was "The Truth About Love" that was released Sept. 18, 2012. It sold 281,000 copies in its first week in U.S. The album went Platinum after selling one million copies.
