'Young & Restless' Soap Star Victoria Rowell Reveals Who Spat on Her During Filming
What are you supposed to do when your life starts imitating your art? That's exactly what happened with soap opera star Victoria Rowell when one of her Young & The Restless co-stars spat on her. It is being reported that Rowell is suing the series, as well as CBS, saying that she was part of "racially charged attacks" while on set. In her court report she is claiming that multiple actresses including Melody Thomas Scott and Michelle Stafford, as well as executives behind the series, were involved in making her life on set extremely difficult, which is what ultimately led to her departure from the soap in 2007. However, the extend of the hardships she dealt with on set are being revealed today, as the details of the court case have become public knowledge.
TMZ is reporting that during her 14-season career as Drucilla Winters on Y&R, that she suffered at the hands of her co-stars as well as her bosses.
In a report from Radar Online, Rowell explains that "Melody Thomas Scott, ran onto the set dancing wildly and wearing an oversized Afro wig to mock my Afro-styled hair that day." Not only that, but she also claims that Michelle Stafford actually spit on her one day while on the set of the soap.
"Another white actress, Michelle Stafford, spat on me on set, called me a 'freak' then screamed, 'No one here likes you,'" Rowell explained, which the star actually admitted to doing. "Stafford later publicly admitted that she did so in collaboration with the white director, Noel Maxam, and then-producer Edward Scott."
TMZ is also reporting that she was allegedly called "mentally unstable" and was physically threatened by actor Peter Bergman on the set.
While there is speculation that Rowell's character could come back to the show, we are highly doubting that this will actually happen.
