Karrueche Tran Reveals her Father is Gay! Is he the Next Caitlyn Jenner?
Besides talking in public about her roller-coaster relationship with Chris Brown, Karrueche Tran recently opened up about her father and his sexuality, revealing that he's gay.
In an exclusive chat with Madame Noire, Tran revealed that her dad was homosexual for the first time in public.
"I don't think I've ever told anybody this but my father is gay," Karrueche stated. "I think I never told anybody just because I don't realize that that's not necessarily normal. I live my life as me so it's just like 'oh that's my dad.' But when I tell people sometimes, they're like, 'Really? That's kind of interesting.'"
She added that her father isn't like Caitlyn Jenner, who is transgender, she says. "It's not like that, he's himself but he is homosexual. He's gay, yeah."
Tran revealed that her dad has been gay for years and that she knew when she was younger.
"I knew from like middle school, even elementary school. I knew something was different and I don't know how I even knew what gay was, being so young. I think when you're younger you catch on to things and you kind of get the hang of it. I've just kind of always known and then as I grew older we had certain talks with my mom and it was just what it was."
Now that the Supreme Court has ruled for gay marriage in every state, it's kind of the right moment for Tran to talk about her family and their personal life, such as her father's homosexuality.
Besides revealing the shocking news of her father's sexual orientation, Tran also talked about how Bruce Jenner's transformation into Caitlyn Jenner was somewhat emotional for her personally. Tran claims that her father's journey and Caitlyn's journey are similar.
Offering the Jenner and Kardashian family some advice, Tran said, "God creates us how he wants to create us. We have to be accepting of people, and how they want to be. If that's their choice and their vision...if you love them you have to support them."
Tran said watching Bruce become Caitlyn, "kind of touched me a bit because I understood their pain and like where they were coming from. It's a hard pill to swallow just to have that transition. It's different, not a lot of people go through those things and I think the most important thing is to trust in God and know that everything happens for a reason, and love as we know now that Gay Marriage is.... and we can marry anybody."
The actress ended, "love conquers all. It doesn't matter what race, age, how you look or anything...love is love."
