Before 'Manhattan' Season 2: WATCH Rachel Brosnahan, Michael Chernus' 2015 July 4th Marathon!
Before Season 2 of Manhattan commences on WGN America, celebrate the 2015 July 4th Weekend with your favorite episodes from Manhattan: Season One. Viewers can get to relive and get to know the bold new drama starring Rachel Brosnahan (Abby Isaacs) and Michael Chernus (Louis 'Fritz' Fedowitz).
As we previously mentioned, Manhattan is set against the turbulent backdrop of the mission to build the world's first atomic bomb, The first season followed the brilliant but flawed scientists and their families. Each member tried to coexist in a world, but their secrets and lies had a way of infiltrating every aspect of their lives.
According to the release, viewers can get into the patriotic spirit with WGN's "Red, White and 'Blue Bloods' Weekend," starting Saturday, July 4 at 9:00 am ET. The two-day marathon event features back-to-back episodes of Blue Bloods, In the Heat of the Night, and closes with the war film Men of Honor, starring Robert De Niro and Cuba Gooding, Jr.
In addition to the Fourth of July programming, WGN kicks off a weekly re-airing of Season 1 of the acclaimed series on Sunday, July 5 at 10:30 pm ET.
As Time reports, season two will add a number of new characters. Mamie Gummer (The Good Wife) joins the cast as a spy named Nora sharing secrets with the Soviets. Griffin Dunne (Dallas Buyers Club) plays a journalist who gets on the trail of the project. William Petersen (Manhunter) has been cast as the religious Colonel Emmett Darrow, a man convinced that atomic bombs are God's will.

We also mentioned, the bonus materials for the Season One DVD/Blu-Ray features behind-the-scenes from the set, fashion, history and "making of" material. The discs will also include select episode audio commentaries with the cast and crew. The featurettes are entitled, "Ground Zero: Bringing the Bomb to Screen," "P.O. Box 1663: Creating a City that Didn't Exist," Now I Am Become Death': J. Robert Oppenheimer" and "Recreating an Era: Manhattan Costume Design."
Season 2 of Manhattan will premiere on WGN America sometime in the Fall 2015.
