Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch Dating RUMORS: 'True Detective' Season 2 Costars Start Romance

While True Detective fans are still trying to figure out that crazy ending to the most recent episode of season two on HBO (don't worry, no spoilers here), a new piece of gossip has popped up, claiming that costars Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch have struck up a romance on the set of the TV series! Like most dating rumors, this "story" comes from a number of anonymous "insiders" and sources of the like that claim the two are dating. According to gossip website Us Magazine, the crime drama costars dines together at West Hollywood's Osteria Mozza early last month, which definitely started the speculation, but we all figured they were just work buddies. Now, insiders are piling in left and right to dish the details on this alleged celebrity couple.

"It hasn't been long, but it's serious," the magazine quotes an insider, claiming that the two have been close "friends for years," only to start a romance while filming the new episodes of the critically acclaimed series (via UPROXX).

"They grew closer on set," the source chimed in.

Not to just settle on one piece of gossip, this insider also revealed that McAdams dated her Southpaw costar Jake Gyllenhaal for a while during filming. This all comes from one source, yes.

Oddly enough, McAdams, 36, gave an interview to Glamour a few years back where she flat-out stated that she doesn't like to date her costars until filming is completed.

"A set may seem like a good place for romance, but I don't think it's very conducive; it's too distracting," she told the magazine at the time. "Every relationship I've had with a coworker comes after the fact."

Perhaps she's changed her mind because Us has another insider saying, "I don't know if it's full-blown love yet, but they talk constantly. They're really into each other. She talks about him all the time!"
