USA's 'Complications' Ep 4 Spoilers: Are Jason O'Mara, Jessica Szohr's John/Gretchen "Immune?"

Complications continues on USA Network with an all-new episode. In Episode 4, will Doctor John Ellison (Jason O'Mara) and his nurse Gretchen Polk (Jessica Szohr) discover that not even the two cohorts are even exactly "immune" to each other's charm in their partnership?

In our premiere recap, Dr. John Ellison (Mara) is a suburban doctor who used to be at the top of his game in the emergency room. Outside of work, Ellison is dealing with the emotional effects of his daughter's death. With the loss of his daughter, Ellison suddenly finds redemption after he saves a young boy's life from a drive-by shooting. Gretchen (Szohr), a street-smart ER nurse, is caught in the middle when Ellison becomes involved in a gang war led by Darius Bishop (Chris Chalk).

In our recent recap, John met with Antwon's father, the gang leader Ezera 'Easy' Tyler (Anthony K. Hyatt) in prison. Easy promised to take of John, like a brother, if he continued taking care of his son. But if John refuses to help him, Easy has no choice but to order Darius to kill him. John then found himself in a tricky situation as Gretchen threatened to quit their .

In an interview with The New York Daily News, the Gossip Girls actress teases this isn't the usual type of "will they/won't they" relationship. John is married and Gretchen likes girls, which actually gives their dynamic a different flavor.

Szohr reveals, "I love the relationship. They're drawn to each other because they need each other. Gretchen does what she does because she has a big heart and she wants to help people. She does the right things for the right reasons, but she doesn't always do them the right way."
