USA's 'Complications' Recap: Episode 4: Do Jason O'Mara, Jessica Szohr Have "Immune Response?"

After months and months of teasers and previews, Complications continues on USA Network. From Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, in episode 4, will John Ellison (Jason O'Mara) Gretchen Polk (Jessica Szohr), and Darius Bishop (Chris Chalk) be able to stop the Immune Response?

Six months ago, John and Samantha (Beth Riesgraf) are arguing over their stages of grief and loss. At her counseling meeting, Samantha remembers when she started her affair with another man. He kisses her, but then Samantha  kisses him back, falling into temptation

John argues with Gretchen as he tries to find a solution for Antwon. Gretchen knows of a place but it won't be cheap. John goes back to work and deals with a bloody patient, who won't stop screaming and crying. 

Realizing his patient is high, John needs to know which dirty needles she has been taking. Getting a call from his wife, John forgot he was supposed to be at a party for Samantha's event. Samatha's ex lover shows up at her office with a new case.  

Gretchen heads home and discovers someone has broken into her home. With a tire iron in her hand, Gretchen screams and finds her half-sister, Ingrid, in her kitchen. Gretchen's half-sister left rehab because the place kicked her out for unpaid bills. 

Gretchen asks her ex-boss, a plastic surgeon, for his help. In order to get his help, Gretchen has to come up with 25 grand. John gets a text from Gretchen, saying that she needs 35K. John listens to a debate about urban violence, an infection that gets worse, which slowly gets on his nerves and forces him to snap.

Samantha argues with John about self-control, but he fakes an apology. Because John doesn't want to cut her out, he reveals how scared he really is. John then meets with Bishop and tells him he found a place to hide Antwon. Bishop tells John that if he needs the money quick; he has to get his hands dirty.  

While Gretchen has an argument with Ingrid, Samantha visits her ex-lover. She doesn't want to have drinks with him; they cannot be friends. John needs her, but what does she need?  He tells her he loves her, but Samantha walks away.

Darius drives John over to their destination and they enter a room together. They get 31k from the gangsters that owe him money. The gangsters drop all the money they have in their pockets. Darius warns them this is about a little boy dying in his hospital bed.

Darius then beats up the gangster to a bloody pulp. John gets in the way and argues with Darius to hit him. John gets the beaten gangster to a hospital but gets a warning; he's not the only doctor in Atlanta.

John then hands over the money to Gretchen. Getting back to work, John promises to help his patient. While Antwon is being transferred to another hospital, Gretchen discovers her sister is still using drugs. She then drives Ingrid back to rehab. 

John meets with Bridget (Lauren Stamile) and apologizes for his mistakes. Lucky for him, Bridget buys the excuse. John returns home and finds Samantha waiting for him. He realizes pain is a gift and tele you what needs fixing.

As John strips off his wife's clothing, two gangsters are shot to death by a female assassin.
