Happy Power Couple Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello Agree to Never Make Movies Together

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced their engagement back in December of 2014. After Vergara's split with American businessman Nick Loeb, the couple started dating and Manganiello even had admitted before to People Magazine that Vergara was his "celebrity crush." They were spotted ring shopping in July of 2014. Manganiello proposed in Hawaii on Christmas Eve and the couple couldn't be happier. Vergara was reportedly on the set of Magic Mike XXL, excited to support her fiance and according to Manganiello, has already seen his routine as "Big Dick Rickie" in the film.

Both have their own successes, but they refuse to commit to doing a movie or any other project together because the disaster of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez collaborating when they were a couple is still so glaring. When interviewed by Enstars Manganiello has said that he has read a script and brought it to Vergara and said, "I gave her [a] script and was like 'Please read this. It's such a good part for you and it's amazing for me,' and she said, 'No, I'm not going to make Gigli,' and kind of threw it on the ground." It's probably a good idea to not mesh worlds, but I think it is safe to say that there is an audience out there that would pay to see that movie.

With power couples like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner recently filing for divorce it's incredibly refreshing to see such a beautifully successful couple not only keeping it together in the spotlight and pursuing their dreams, but supporting each other as well.

Vergara continues to star in Modern Family starting up again in its seventh season premiering September 23rd and Manganiello since True Blood ended it's seven year run last year, you can see him Magic Mike XXL out in theaters now and look for him in Knight of Cups out in December.
