'Maggie' Movie: WATCH Abigail Breslin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Joely Richardson Blu-Ray Clip!
Lionsgate Home Entertainment is bringing audiences the post-apocalyptic horror/zombie movie, Maggie. Watch out for the zombies and check out Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator: Genysis), Abigail Breslin (Final Girl), and Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) in this behind-the-scenes clip straight from the Blu-Ray special features.
As we previously mentioned, former graphic designer, Henry Hobson, gives viewers a different kind of family drama, which also brings in elements from The Walking Dead.
According to the synopsis, the entire nation is reeling from the effects of a lethal virus. The widespread panic worsens as the previous victims suddenly turn into undead zombies. A father's worst night, Wade (Schwarzenegger) is unable to protect daughter Maggie (Breslin) when she becomes infected. As Maggie's health deteriorates and her zombie condition worsens, Wade will stop at nothing to rescue her from the authorities seeking to kill her to eradicate the virus.
In an interview with IGN, Breslin discusses working with the first time director, "He wanted it really real and really something that people could relate to even if they weren't horror movie fans or zombie fans. So that was something that I really liked. It was just a different way to tell a story about human interaction and their relationships. We had a lot of conversations about how the transition would go into her being a full-blown zombie."
The Zombieland actress adds, "We talked a lot about it and really figured out the stages and how each one was really unique and also how you would slip into that animalistic behavior in certain spots, without going too overboard with it. We had a lot of conversations about it and a lot of figuring it out as we went along. I think he did an amazing job and he's awesome."
According to Dread Central, the special features include, a "Making Maggie" featurette, deleted Scene, cast and crew interviews, plus audio commentary with director Henry Hobson.
Maggie arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD on July 7, 2015.
