USA's 'Mr. Robot' Episode 3 Spoilers: Will Christian Slater, Rami Malek Meet Tyrell Wellick?
The highly anticipated hacker drama, Mr. Robot, continues on USA Network. In tonight's Episode 3, are Angela (Portia Doubleday), Elliot (Rami Malek), and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) discover they all have a common adversary with Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström)?
In our premiere recap, Elliot (Malek), suffering from an anti-social disorder, is only able to connect with people by actually hacking them. After saving his cybertech security firm and their client, Evil Corp, from a massive hack attack, Elliot finds himself recruited by a mysterious anarchist named Mr. Robot (Slater). Unfortunately, after striking back at Evil Corp, Elliot finds himself caught by their mysterious figurehead, Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström).
In our recent recap, Elliot started to have doubts about joining Mr. Robot's hacking group, especially if their plans endanger people's lives. Elsewhere, there is another mysterious hacker spying on Angela, who's concerned about her childhood friend falling deep into drugs. Though Elliot wants to return back to Fsociety, Elliot managed to betray him and push him over a ledge.
According to TV Line, SVP of Technology Tyrell Wellick (Wallström) is rehearsing his speech to the board. Though he is a smooth talker, Tyrell has to show emotion and concern in his not-too-coldly bid to take over Colby's place. Tyrol hits himself as he tries to position himself as the board's logical replacement.
Variety reports that USA drama has grown nicely in ratings during its second week. Mr. Robot averaged about 3.2 million viewers overall. The ratings shot up 36% in the demo and 13% in total viewers since the show's June 24 premiere.
