Nicki Minaj Has A New Venture – A Clothing line, To Partner With Kmart

Rapper and judge of TV show "American Idol" Nicki Minaj will be venturing into new business - a clothing line.

The 30-year-old singer has cut a long term deal with retailing major, Sears Holdings. She has partnered with Kmart which will be selling her clothing line. Sears Holding owns Kmart and its affiliate website ShopYourWay.com, AllHipHop reported.

Minaj's collection will include apparels, accessories and housewares. They will be exclusive at Kmart stores.

She released a statement that said, "I am so excited to work with this iconic, mass retailer and to bring affordable fashion to my beautiful barbz all across the U.S."

Another singer teaming up with Kmart is Maroon 5's Adam Levin.

"We are thrilled to align Kmart and Shop Your Way with two of America's superstars. We welcome Adam and Nicki into our world and look forward to capturing their energy and creativity on ShopYourWay.com and translating it into unique apparel, accessories and other merchandise," said Imran Kooma, the executive vice president and president of Marketing and Online of Sears Holdings.

The collection from Levine and Minaj will hit the stores before 2013 ends.

In 2012, Minaj launched her own line of fragrance called "Pink Friday." she teamed up with Give Back Brands.
