Honey Cocaine dedicated a song to Seattle Rapper Frederick Eugene Buhl, aka Freddy E, who was found dead on January 5 after committing suicide. The 22-year-old is known for his YouTube comedic webisode called "Jerk TV", which also included his rap songs. The rapper who was signed under rapper Tyga's label was suffering from extreme "heartbreak" and threatened to kill himself on twitter.
Honey Cocaine was blamed for the suicide when many said he killed himself over their failed relationship. The "close" friend did and exclusive interview with MTV and where she explained the that they were only friends, "I had a show in Seattle and he was there, so that's when I met him. He was a fan who became a supporter, who became a friend," she said. "I made it clear and he respected that, he never forced it. We were friends and we had an understanding and we were always there for each other as friends."
The rapper posted about feeling lost and being in a dark place via twitter before taking his life saying, "If there's a God then He's calling me back home. This barrel never felt so good next to my dome. It's cold & I'd rather die than live alone," he tweeted on Jan. 5.
"It's... all... bad... y'all. *puts finger around trigger*" he tweeted a little later, and then added. "I love you mom. I love you Dad. I love you Katherine. God... please forgive me. I'm sorry," he wrote in a series of tweets.
The aspiring rapper herself wrote and recorded a song to express her grief the only way she felt was consoling.
The late rapper's father, Frederick Douglass Buhl released a statement expressing his grief on his personal Facebook page saying:
"Our family is saddened beyond words; our loss is great; this tragedy is enormous and unforseen," he wrote.
"Not only our family, but the world has lost a talented, sensitive, brilliant young man who lit up our existence with his. We love him a great deal, and he will be sorely missed. We pray that God will now watch over him, and we ask all of you to include Frederick and our entire family in your thoughts and prayers."
