Terminator Actor Arrested; Edward Furlong Accused of Domestic Abuse Charges
Edward Furlong, famous for his role in "Terminator 2," was arrested for a third time on suspicion of domestic abuse.
The 35-year-old actor was arrested at his Los Angeles home early Sunday morning in connection with domestic violence following an incident with his girlfriend.
Authorities responded to a "boyfriend/girlfriend disturbance" and Furlong was taken by police because he had an outstanding $30,000 warrant from a previous abuse incident, according to E! Online.
A mug shot of the actor looking bleary-eyed emerged on Tuesday.
Furlong was booked into the Central Jail in Los Angeles and will appear before a judge in Beverly Hills Tuesday following an incident with his girlfriend.
The arrest was his third in less than four months.
Furlong was taken into police custody on Oct. 30 last year for domestic violence charges after a public confrontation with his girlfriend at Los Angeles' LAX Airport.
The woman involved in the argument had visible marks on her arm from that incident, according to TMZ.
He was also arrested the day before Thanksgiving for allegedly assaulting the same girlfriend.
Furlong was previously married to ex-wife Rachael Bella who obtained a court order to ban the actor from spending time with her and their six-year-old son Ethan, according to Radar Online. Bella filed for a restraining order in September claiming that Furlong was not stable and that he became increasingly violent. She also reportedly accused Furlong of using illegal substances such as cocaine.
The troubled actor has also been to rehab on a few occasions over the past few years, according to The Daily Mail.
Furlong played the role of John Connor in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" which was directed by James Cameron ("Avatar") and co-starred former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
