John Mayer Performs A Gig After 10 Months Of Break Due To Throat Surgery, Did Katy Perry Help Him?
Pop and Blues singer-songwriter John Mayer performed after a gap of ten months.
Mayer, who had to undergo a vocal cord surgery for his throat granuloma in October 2012, was unable to sing as he was expected to rest. He also had to cancel his tour in March.
But the singer of "Waiting on the World to Change" performed a charity gig which was organised by himself. The gig was to help the fire fighters responsible in dousing out a major fire in Montana, 2012, Entertainmentwise reported.
Mayer spent quality time with his singer girlfriend Katy Perry at a spa in California, boosting up his confidence to perform at the event, claimed the report.
Fans and audiences were thrilled to see the singer back in action playing "Speak For Me" from the album "Born And Raised."
He had accompanied Frank Ocean on Saturday Night Live but did not use his voice. Mayer is known for his voice and has won five Grammy Awards for his voice. The recent being in 2009, for his single "Gravity."
Mayer had been in relationship with Hollywood hotties like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and more recently Taylor Swift. He has been dating Perry since late 2012.
