Taylor Armstrong's 'RHOBH' Spot Originally for Cody Simpson's Mom, Angie?

It looks like there is drama in them there hills. As we previously reported, Taylor Armstrong will be making her much anticipated return to the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but is it only because another potential housewife pulled out? It seems that the production team had their eyes on Aussie pop singer, Cody Simpon's mom Angie, to join the series, but when she backed out, they were scrambling to find a replacement. We are sure Angie would have surely brought some drama to the series, as her son Cody used to date RHOBH cast member Yolanda Foster's daughter, Gigi Hadid. However, Angie's loss is our gain as fans finally get to catch up with Taylor after a two season hiatus.

According to Radar Online, producers behind the series weren't too happy with Angie, as she was getting ready to sign the contract but backed out at the last minute.

"She came very close to signing a contract, but ultimately decided not to," an insider explained. "Producers were left in the lurch because they were confident that Angie would be on board."

Angie did, however, post a picture to her Instagram account of her son posing in front of a TV with Andy Cohen playing in the background.
