Kim Kardashian Asks for a Tweet Edit Feature, Twitter Founder Responds
Kim Kardashian, tech icon, may yet again enact change on our society. She tweeted on Friday that she had emailed Twitter asking to add a tweet editing feature. Soon after, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey replied that it's a "great idea."
Kardashian's feature, which scores of Twitter users have requested before, would mean that users can edit misspellings and mistakes in tweets. Currently, there's no edit feature, so if you make a mistake, you have to delete and tweet again.
"We're always looking at ways to make things faster and easier," Dorsey tweeted.
Looking at Kim K for innovations is far from unusual. The reality show star spoke at a tech conference, Re/Code, last fall. She is touted in the tech world for her gaming app, Kim Kardashian Hollywood, from which she made about $200 million last year. Reports say she makes $700,000 a day just from that app.
At the Re/Code conference, she gave five social media tips, which included using Twitter as your own personal Google and not posting more than three pictures from one location.
Kardashian has recently used social media to promote various causes and news issues. This week, she tweeted about the death of Sandra Bland, who was found dead in a Texas jail earlier this month. The details of Bland's death and treatment by the police have been under question.
"We need answers!!!! This is NOT ok! This is all shady! They need to own up to this & tell the truth!" Kardashian tweeted.
Also this week, she spoke about her debilitating morning sickness from her new pregnancy on Instagram. She partnered with the company that makes the drug Diclegis to help get over nausea and vomiting.
Kardashian confirmed that she is having a son, her second child with Kanye West, in June.
