Celebs Mourn Bobbi Kristina's Death on Twitter: Oprah says "Peace at Last"
Bobbi Kristina's death at such a young ag has caused a wave of emotions on social media as mourners and celebrities like Oprah, Russell Simmons, Tamar Braxton, Rosie O'Donnell and more comment on the tragic end for the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.
According to Extra, Oprah tweeted, "Peace at Last," when news surfaced that the 22-year-old died Sunday, July 26.
MStars News previously reported that Bobbi Kristina died in hospice with her family by her side. The Houston's also released a statement via a rep that read: "Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
It's been one sad and long journey for the Houston and Brown families as they tried to remain faithful after Bobbi was found unresponsive in her bathtub at her Roswell, Georgia, home back in January. After reports revealed that Bobbi Kristina died, some of the biggest names in Hollywood expressed their condolences to the family.
Bishop TD Jakes shared a photo of his time with Bobbi Kristina and wrote: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of such a young, vibrant life. We pray for Bobbi Kristina's extended family and grieve with them over this tremendous loss."
Before Kristina's death, MStars News previously reported that Tyler Perry helped the family out, supporting them since the beginning and even allowing Bobby Brown to use his private jet for travels back and forth from Los Angeles to Atlanta.
Perry expressed his anger of the harsh stories the media wrote that claimed Bobbi was dead when she was still alive.
In a lengthy statement he said: "This morning I woke up with Whitney on my mind. I couldn’t help but think about all that she must have dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream… And as difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time. For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it."
He continued, "It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful. So much so, that they find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive."
