Bill Cosby Rape Scandals, Accusers: Stand-Up Legend got Quaaludes from Gynocologist

For a while now the media has been up in arms against legendary stand-up and TV comedian Bill Cosby, who ten years ago admitted to drugging women with Quaaludes in order to be able to have sex with them. Recently it has come to light that there was indeed a doctor who was prescribing these pills to Cosby specifically. It's hard to believe that this physician didn't question how the prescription was to be used but according to the Washington Post, Cosby received seven prescriptions from Leroy Amar, "a gynecologist and plastic surgeon," who was licensed in California, New York and Maryland throughout his troubled career.

His California license was revoked after he "engaged in the most serious misconduct" and then later failed to pay fees. After learning of such disciplinary issues, the Maryland medical board placed him on probation. His operation history included multiple botched plastic surgeries which left women with deformed, hardened or uneven breasts," says The Hollywood Reporter.

Amar did try to defend the victims apparently and the deposition proves this because Amar had introduced a young woman named Tamara Green, who reported back to Amar that Cosby made her feel "uncomfortable" and "gave her wine." According to the deposition, "[it] includes Amar's confrontation with Cosby about his actions with Tamara Green, whom the doctor introduced to the comedian and who later accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulted her," says Hollywood Reporter.

Fox News reported that the plaintiff's testimony was requested to be stricken and that Cosby is really the victim by Green's accusations. Cosby's lawyer has continuously claimed that Cosby's testimony has been given and denies all charges and having administered Quaaludes to any woman in order to have non-consensual sex. Monique Pressley, Cosby's lawyer, claims that he gave a prescription to another person, revealing that the pills were for a back issue and using them for recreational sexual activity with multiple women. A woman named Barbara Bowman also testified through the Fox News broadcast as well.

The case will continue but it is important to know how many women have come out against the once beloved comedian who entered our living rooms every night in the '80s and '90s. Check out the original NBC broadcast of the ongoing issue.
