Flawless was WWE Diva Layla El's catchphrase during her tenure as one of the wrestling industry's top ladies. It's also a word you can use to describe the former Diva Search Winner and multi-time Women's and Diva's Champion. Sadly, after close to a decade in the ring, the woman who was one-half of the Laycool tag-team with Michelle McCool is closing the chapter on her wrestling career as she announced her retirement from the squared circle.

Layla told the EW website it wasn't a simple decision to leave wrestling. She plans on moving on to other projects now.

"I feel like deciding to retire from the ring has been a hard decision to make because I'm passionate and I love performing. But sometimes you just need to step out and take a risk and move onto the next phase in life," Layla said. "I am proud that I did make it in the ring and I can truly walk away saying, 'I'm a good wrestler,' I did really well and I was able to break through the negative and definitely prove people wrong."

Layla made her official retirement announcement on social media:

While with the WWE, Layla was a one-time Women's Champion, a one time-Diva's Champion, the 2006 Diva's search winner and had the Slammy Award for Knucklehead Moment of the Year after losing to Mae Young.
