With the first season cliffhanger leaving audiences hanging, the CW network is already underway with Season 2 of The Flash. Will the future Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) andCaitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) suddenly see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) "mature" as the scarlet speedster's new costume?

In our first season recap, Barry Allen finally awoke from his coma, after being struck by lightning. Suddenly given super-speed powers, Barry belonged to a small group of friends, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), who knew his secret identity. They worked together against super villains, including Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and teamed up with the Arrow (Stephen Amell). But they never realized their true enemy was lurking among them, the Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh).

According to Comic Book Resources, Warner Bros. Television has provided an inside look at one of the Blu-ray special features. Entitled "Grant Gustin: Growing with his Character," the leading man discusses becoming the popular DC Comics superhero.

Gustin states, "I'm not your stereotypical superhero. I'm not one of the Hemsworth brothers... I was super-awkward Barry Allen at the beginning [of the season], and as Barry's become the Flash, I've become more confident with Barry."

As we previously mentioned, Patty Spivot will be played by Shantel VanSanten (Gang Related). Patty is a cop and a science enthusiast, which is why Barry has his eyes on her. Unfortunately, Patty is unaware that Barry Allen is falling for her. Because of her obsession with metahumans, she is excited to be partnering up with Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) this season. No word yet if she will become her superhero-alter ego, Hot Pursuit aka Ms. Flash.

We also mentioned, Teddy Sears (Masters of Sex) actor will play an incarnation of Jay Garrick, the Silver Age Flash. In the DC Comics Universe, Garrick is the first character to hold the mantle of The Flash during his debut in the 1940s. In the New 52, Jay is now a semi-retired crime-fighter, with his hair gone totally white.

Season One ofThe Flash arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray September 22, 2015.
