WWE John Cena Injured: Out After Emergency Surgery for Broken Nose
On Monday Night Raw John Cena and Seth Rollins had a classic match. Things got interesting when Rollins kneed Cena in the nose and the United States Champion finished the match with it hanging all the way to the left. Following the injury Cena had to go in for an emergency surgery for some breathing issues he was having because of the injury. Now in recovery mode, the United States Champion will be missing from action for several weeks. Cena has been removed from future television appearances and his Summerslam status is unknown.
With Summerslam coming up, it'll be interesting to see how quickly Cena returns. It looks like the United States champion will be facing off against Seth Rollins again for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but because of this injury, the status of such a match is up in the air. Of course, Cena is notorious for coming back from injury.
If you remember at the 2008 Royal Rumble, Cena came back from a torn pectoral muscle after only four months. The rest of us would be out for 7-12 months with such an injury. You can watch that classic return here. Of course, with most things Cena does, whether it be a broken nose or arm drag, Twitter was abuzz.
