Happy Birthday Barack Obama! Memes Celebrate President's 54th
Today, President Barack Obama is celebrating his 54th birthday, and the memes are out to ring it in.
On Monday, Obama began celebrating at the Youth African Leaders Initiative in Washington, DC, where a crowd of about 750 sang "Happy Birthday" to him. Also at the initiative, we learned what Obama presumably wants for his birthday: some sleep.
"The first thing I'm probably going to do is catch up on my sleep. I'll probably do that for a couple of months," Obama said when asked what he would do when he got out of office in January 2017.
Obama is having a busy birthday on Tuesday. He started the day by hosting United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at the White House. They spoke about Obama's climate change plan, which the Secretary General praised.
After that, Obama had his weekly lunch with Vice President Joe Biden, who has been rumored to be picking up a run for president in the 2016 elections.
On Tuesday afternoon, the White House hosted their first ever Demo Day, which saw entrepreneurs from around the country come in and show their work.
Obama's professional day will end with a meeting with American Jewish community leaders to address the Iran nuclear deal.
After that, we can only hope, Obama will have a piece of cake and relax a little with his family.
While Obama is keeping busy, the Internet is enjoying his birthday. Topics like "Happy Birthday Mr. President" were trending throughout the day on Twitter. When you go to Obama's Twitter page, a bunch of balloons fly across the screen in commemoration.
And Michelle Obama publicly wished Barack a happy birthday on Twitter.
"54 looks good on you," she wrote.
