Kyle Chandler's Coach Eric Taylor In Alamo Drafthouse Cinema PSA Before 'Bloodline' Season 2!
Before he returns to Netflix as John Rayburn on Bloodline Season 2, Kyle Chandler returns to the role that made him a critical darling, Coac Eric Taylor. The Friday Night Lights actor returns to the world of football in a new PSA for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema theater chains.
From People, though it's been four years since Friday Night Lights went off the air, Chandler reprises his critically acclaimed role as Coach Eric Taylor. In a PSA, Taylor aims to motivate moviegoers to turn off their phones while they're at the theater.
In the PSA, Coach Taylor reveals, "How am I supposed to give my inspirational speech here when you're talking and you're texting? Turn your goddamn cell phones off!"
According to Forbes, the plot synopsis follows John Rayburn (Chandler), the middle brother who somehow manages to find himself sweeping up after everyone's messes. In his narration of the episodes, John guides viewers through the dark underbelly as he becomes embroiled in crimes with his outcast brother Danny (Ben Mendelsohn). The lies and deceit woven by every member of the Rayburn clan quickly unravel.
As TV Line reports, Mendelsohn will be back as a full-fledged series regular for the show's upcoming second season on Netflix. Executive producer Glenn Kessler confirmed the casting news at the Television Critics Association summer press. During the first season cliffhanger, Danny was "murdered" by his brother, John (Chandler).
Kessler reveals, "The DNA of the show is such that the past is always with us. We're going to learn more about Danny's effect on the family and more about his past, and also what his effects are in the present day."
No word on when Bloodline Season 2 will return to Netflix.
