Taylor Swift & Harry Styles Back Together? New Year's Fight is 'a Distant Memory'
Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are scheduled to appear at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes this weekend and the two singers might be spotted together, after a source said they have reunited as boyfriend and girlfriend.
Following Swift's trip to London, where she reportedly talked things over with Styles, the two have decided to give their relationship another try. The Sun cited a source who said Swift knew something needed to change in her relationship with the One Direction singer in order for it to work a second time, and the 23-year-old realized "she was being a bit full-on."
She is now more relaxed about their relationship. She intends to enjoy it more rather than worry about where it could eventually lead," the source said. "Harry is not the sort of guy you can stay mad at for long. She's given him some space and it's done them both a world of good. What happened over New Year is now a distant memory."
Both singers will attend the award show in Cannes and the news report noted that they will even stay in the same hotel, with Styles planning a number of "romantic gestures" during their stay.
A close friend of Swift's told Hollywood Life that the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer sent a series of apologetic text messages to Styles shortly after they broke up, saying she regretted ending things with the British singer. The friend said immediately following their breakup on Jan. 4 - rumored to be caused by a firely dispute - Swift regretted leaving Styles and "she was a wreck and torn up."
Swift and Styles reportedly fought while on vacation on Virgin Gorda, the largest of the British Virgin Islands, as they celebrated the New Year's holiday together. The topic behind their dispute is still unknown but one insider confirmed that the 1D member "said something he shouldn't have." Swift flew back home following the argument but Styles stayed on the island and was photographed partying with Sir Richard Branson and other guests on Necker Island, which is privately owned by Branson.
