Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has once again found herself in the middle of quite the controversy. Following her April arrest after relapsing, she has been thrown in the slammer again. That's right, the child actress turned reality star was caught early this week stealing some goods from Target. In wake of this new controversy those closest to Richards are extremely worried about the starlet and are even thinking of placing her on a 5150 hold for her own safety.

According to Radar Online, it seems that it is the health of their family member that that is really making them anxious following her latest stunt.

"Kim's family is devastated about her latest problems, but they're not surprised," and insider explained. "The family believes that Kim has three options: 1. She goes back to rehab, 2. She's put on a 5150 hold, 3. She could end up hospitalized for alcohol poisoning or pill overdose."

The site also continues saying that no one really wants to be responsible for Kim and that they are really at a lose over what to do.

"The entire situation is very sad," and insider told the site. "But if she goes back to rehab, that's just preemptive to keep her out of jail. And the problem with a 5150 hold is that the family doesn't even know if a hospital would agree or how to get her somewhere that would force it upon her. It would be hard. And no one really wants to be the one responsible for managing her life."

The whole incident started earlier this week after Richards had stolen over 100 items from the San Fernando Valley Target in California, which totaled an estimated $612, according to Us Weekly.

Her ex husband, Monty Brinson, who viewers of RHOBH saw during season 5, expressed his confusion over the theft telling Entertainment Tonight, "I couldn't imagine Kim stealing or shoplifting anything. She is a giver," adding that he thought this "must be some kind of mistake."
