Lady Gaga's 'American Horror Story' Role Revealed!
American Horror Story fans have been on the edge of their seats for the October premiere of the next season of Ryan Murphy's chillingly addictive show. Like past seasons this one is no different, taking place in a different world than the last season, entitled American Horror Story: Hotel. It was rumored a while ago that Lady Gaga would be joining the cast and now we know that she will be the owner of the creepy hotel! Entertainment Weekly reports, "Lady Gaga, as told by Ryan Murphy: 'Her character's name is Elizabeth. She owns the hotel, and she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode and plays out over the course of the season. She starts shooting on Monday.'"
Gaga won't be the only important cast member this season! Entertainment Weekly says, "Murphy confirmed that 'people that you have known from other seasons' will check into the hotel this year." This would include Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley, and Cheyenne Jackson. Sounds like a great mix of talent for such a creepy topic.
Murphy opened up about what inspired him for the story of this season and he explained the story behind a Los Angeles-based hotel, specifically the case regarding video surveillance of a young girl at the Cecil Hotel. Bloody Disgusting reports, "[Murphy was] inspired by a surveillance video from a Los Angeles-based hotel that surfaced two years ago. The footage showed a girl - Elise Lam - in an elevator who ended up dead." The video in and of itself is pretty creepy especially after knowing the hotel's grisly history.
The new season, American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere October 7th on FX! Check out the teaser below! Terrified yet?
