'American Pie's' Chris Klein Marries Laina Rose Thyfault in Outdoor Montana Wedding

American Pie actor Chris Klein married his longtime girlfriend Laina Rose Thyfault on Sunday in Montana. The wedding was held outside at Rainbow Ranch on the Gallatin River in Montana with 115 guests.

Thyfault works as a travel agent. The couple met at a mutual friend's wedding in 2011 and have been dating for four years. They announced their engagement last December, after he proposed in Venice Beach.

"Laina and I are so very happy to share our excitement with you. Thank you so much for all your support and good wishes," Klein wrote on his Facebook page after their engagement was announced.

The wedding on Sunday was held at an outdoor church with vintage pews and a custom doorway, according to People. The groom wore a custom Shoreditch London three-piece suit.

"Laina and Chris wanted to stay true to the nature of Montana and chose native grasses, sage and flowers in a soft color palette to reflect the beauty of Montana," wedding planner Jennifer Horsley of Habitat Events told People.

This is Klein's first marriage. He was engaged to Katie Holmes for three years but they called the relationship off in 2005. Holmes went on to date Tom Cruise and get engaged to him that same year. Klein has been quoted saying that his and Holmes' split was very amicable.

Klein is most well-known for his role as Chris 'Oz' Ostreicher in the American Pie movies. He also starred in Election alongside Reese Witherspoon back in the late 1990s. Most recently, Klein has been seen as Drew in the television show Wilfred.

In 2005 and 2010, Klein was arrested on drinking and driving related charges. He went to rehab in 2010 and has reportedly been sober since then.

"It got to the point where I was a fragile shadow of the young man that came into this business," Klein told People in 2012, when he was 19 months sober. "Today, I'm the luckiest guy alive."
