Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Bashed by 'RHONY' Star Jill Zarin for Getting Pregnant Before Marriage, 'Not Setting Good Example'
Real Housewives of New York City star, Jill Zarin, recently called Kim and Kourtney Kardashian bad examples for their pregnancies out of wedlock. Zarin does admit to being a Kardashian fan, but personally believes that one should be married before getting pregnant. Since Kim and Kourtney are on a television show with young viewers, setting a good example is definitely reason to cause a commotion. This specific issue is clearly not something either Kardashian can change in any way, but the overall idea of setting examples, preferably good ones, is definitely something Kim, Kourtney and other reality stars should focus on.
The Kardashians are used to ridicule in all forms. Kim especially. Her personal exploits have made her into a household name and have kept her in everyday conversations all over the world. She has her own show because of incidents like this. Her relationship with Kanye West and their pregnancy announcement is actually a very good thing in her life. Sure there are rumors and plenty of gossip around that but, again, that is a normal occurrence for Kim.
A lot of family issues have come to light for the Kardashians. Ellen Kardashian, the widow of Kim's father, Robert, has come out with harsh stories surrounding Kris Jenner, mother of Kim and company. According to journals left in Ellen's care, Robert Kardashian wrote of physical and emotional abuse toward the children by Kris. Kim jumped on her twitter account in response: "So my dad's ex is selling ridiculous stories again to tabloids! Do not believe it!"
Sure they have not made the best decisions, but honestly the Kardashians have to worry about normal problems on top of television ratings for their shows. They have turned their family into a business and it is booming. As far as setting examples go, they are clearly not aware of their influence on morals and focus more on their fashion and/or lifestyle influence. More people need to call them out on this before they step it up and become more aware of how they affect young viewers. Maybe Kim's baby will be that reality check. We might see a change coming within the next year.
I hope nobody takes anything away from Kim's pregnancy because of this. By that, I mean that a child is going to be coming into this world and that is amazing. What I do not understand about Zarin's comment is that she uses pregnancy to bring up a bigger issue but then does not go any further. Pregnancy out of wedlock is not a big deal in today's world. Sure you can look down on celebrities or anyone else you would like, but maybe if you are in the spotlight you should focus on another topic to criticize. Clearly there are a lot of topics to choose from with reality stars.
