Whitney Houston's brother, Michael Houston admits to introducing her to drugs not Bobby Brown. The later singer's mother, Cissy Houston and her brother Michael sat down with Oprah on "Oprah's Next Chapter" and talked about struggling with his sister's death.
The two siblings were compared as twins while they were growing up because of their closeness. The singer even called her older brother "Son". When Oprah asked Michael how this past year was for him without Whitney, he told her, "I'm living, but I'm not alive you know...without her." Michael added, "I have own demons to live with, and I feel responsible. Always have. I guess I should have taken better care of her."
In Cissy new book, she revealed that she found out that her daughter and son had been doing drugs together and she couldn't understand then and still doesn't understand now, she said in the clip. Michael took responsibility of introducing Whitney to drugs and said that it was ok for them because everyone else was doing it at the time and they were in there late twenties and traveling making money so drugs were very available. Oprah pointed out that for many years that people blamed Brown for introducing drugs to the iconic singer, but Michael admitted that she had been doing drugs way before the tumultuous couple met, "You gotta understand at the time ... the 80s ... it was acceptable." Michael added, "It's painful ... I feel responsible for what I let go so far."
