Donna Savattere [PHOTOS], Dan Marino: Affair with Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame Quarterback Produced Love Child Chloe and Scandal
Donna Savattere is quickly becoming a household name ever since her affair with Dan Marino become public this week when the football legend admitted to the allegations on Wednesday. Savattere and Marino's relationship produced a daughter, Chloe Alexis Savaterre, in 2005. 51-year-old Marino and current wife of 30 years, Claire, have 6 children of their own. The former Miami Dolphins quarterback released a statement taking full responsibility for his actions and ensuring the public that he and his wife are working through the new developments. Savattere was a CBS Sports production assistant when Dan Marino joined the network as a pregame analyst, leading to the affair in 2004. Their love child was born just 2 months before Marino was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Marino's speech focused mainly on his six children and wife.
As part of the cover up of the affair, Donna Savattere relocated from New York to Texas after Marino agreed to support Donna and her new child. On top of the millions of dollars that Marino provided Savattere with, he also visited with his new daughter, Chloe Alexis. Donna kept the affair out of the tabloids, but regularly told friends that her daughter's mysterious father was, in fact, Dan Marino. With her new-found wealth, Savattere moved back up to New York City and became quite the socialite. She was even a bit of a fashionista during these times. Savattere was featured on the fashion blog, Fashionistable, modelling an outfit in 2010.
While on vacation in the Bahamas, she met her current husband, banker Nahill Younis. Together, they have raised Chloe and had a son. The couple is very active in supporting a facility for physically challenged children called the Southampton Fresh Air Home. Her new life with Younis prompted Savattere to try to change Chloe Alexis' last name to Younis in order to put the past behind her.
Though Donna Savattere does not work at CBS Sports anymore, Dan Marino is still an active pregame analyst for big football games. The biggest game in football, the Superbowl, is in just two days. Marino is still set to provide pregame analysis for the annual spectacle, with no word of how this controversy will affect his job. When the Baltimore Ravens take on the San Francisco 49ers this weekend, a lot of attention will be on the hall of fame quarterback and how he handles this added pressure so close to this revelation.
