Eminem & 5 Seconds Of Summer Collaboration? 'Lose Yourself' Cover Upstages Slaughterhouse Beef
Ready for yet another epic cover of rapper Eminem's hit song "Lose Yourself," straight from Detroit?
On Wednesday (August 19), 5 Seconds of Summer's first headlining Rock Out With Your Socks Out concert tour hit the "Rap God" emcee's hometown, and lead singer Luke Hemmings gave a rousing rendition of 2002's Grammy Award winning tune from "8 Mile" -
Not too bad for a pop punk band from Australia, right? As SugarScape.com reporter Lucy Wood amusingly describes it:
"It's angry and furious and loud and sweaty and that's our favorite kinda 5SOS, so this whole thing will probably leave you knees weak, arms heavy, and wondering whether Luke is actually the real Slim Shady."
But wonder if the "Phenomenal" superstar agrees. Em's known for surprising fans with rather unpredictable collaborations, so perhaps he'll team-up with the "She's Kinda Hot" teen rockers for a new song soon?
Meanwhile, fellow Slaughterhouse rapper Joe Budden continues hyping his own upcoming All Love Lost album (with some help from a fake Twitter feud with Royce Da 5'9). As MstarsNews previously reported:
Starting August 18, the Bad Meets Evil hypeman shared these rather cryptic tweets:
@Royceda59: "A lot of people have mastered the art of sounding like they know what they're talking about... Beware of these people..."
@Royceda59: "They don't never know sh*t."
He then quickly followed-up with:
@Royceda59: "I heard you dissed me and Em on your album @JoeBudden... You sure you want that problem?"
@Royceda59: "I'm Boutta load up on Budden Diss bars... He's good... We gotta Pack a lunch."
@Royceda59: "If Joe dissed me, I would have to start drinking again to really go at him..."
He finally finished with this rather harsh response to one fan's viral Twitter statement:
@Jojo_Rubin03: "@Royceda59 @JoeBudden 2 biggest clowns."
@Royceda59: "One of these clowns ol shoot them purple earbuds right out your head..."
Well, Budden's upcoming fifth studio record should officially hit airwaves on September 25 (via HipHopDX.com). However, the New Jersey native has yet to release details teasing any fresh tracks that might damagingly "blast" members of his loyal Slaughterhouse crew. So, what's up with Royce's sudden cyber rant?
Well, now sources close to the Rock City superstar insist that he was "just joking." Maybe in an attempt to help promote his friend's follow-up album?
And Budden finds the situation rather entertaining:
@JoeBudden: "Too lit lol."
@Royceda59: "It's lit my n*gga! [fire] RT @JoeBudden: @Royceda59 oh God lol."
The boys of Shady Records never fail to keep fans on their toes!
