Chris Christie To Save Presidential Campaign on Jimmy Fallon's 'Tonight Show'?
You'd have to think that right now Donald Trump is the boisterous Republican candidate New Jersey Governor Chris Christie envisioned himself to be. Out of nowhere, Trump has soared while Christie continues falling short of the right-wing presidential nod. In order to save himself the Jersey Governor has announced he will be returning to Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show marking his 5th interview with the host. Christie believes the appearance will help boost recognition as his last few appearances showed a lighter side of him. In one instance Fallon and Christie created a viral video together that gained more than 9 million views.
Christie will make his return on Monday, Aug. 31.
This will be the first appearance the Governor has made since announcing he was running for President. Since the trend with politics these days seems to be gut-wrenching honesty, maybe Christie will pick up Trump's speak-from-the-heart gimmick – albeit Trump has a darker shade of heart than most – and say something different than what we're used to hearing a politician say.
Granted that shouldn't be hard for the Governor since most of his famous lines came from being overly aggressive about something.
Here's an interview in which Christie yelled at a teacher..
That Christie angst with the teacher was shown in a recent television spot where he said America needs a law enforcer.
"Sanctuary cities engulfing Americans in crime. Drugs running rampant and destroying lives. ISIS beheading Christians. Iranian radicals and nuclear weapons," Christie said. "We need a strong law enforcer as president. Someone who says what he means and means what he says. We can do it. Let's make America a leader again."
The last time Christie showed up on a Fallon-run late night show was in April when he and the host mocked the Evolution of Dance video and created their own titled The Evolution of Dad Dancing. That particular video was a tribute to Father's Day. The video currently has nine million views.
